I was in Cornwall last week. This picture was taken at Kynance Cove in the Lizard Peninsula. It is a stitched panorama of 7 overlapping photographs while my son obliged by running across. Click on the photo and follow the link to see the photo in large size! Shot at low tide around 8:30PM.
The Les Arenes Bullring in Barcelona is now no longer a bullfighting arena but instead has been converted to a shopping centre and a great eating place on the roof. The view from the top provides lovely views of Placa Espanya and Palau Nacional (that houses the National Museum of Art). Some views below.
Found these cones and various seed pods carefully arranged at Allan Bank in Grasmere. Made a nice study of various natural textures contrasting with the surface. Photographed with a Nikon D7000.
This sunset over Morecambe Bay was just too good to record using a single exposure. So I bracketed 5 shots and merger them. The slight fuzziness of the clouds nicely compliments that sharp inky blues of the beach!

These words came to mind when I looked at this photo of me taken by a friend. In the vastness of space, we are but insignificant creatures living on a tiny planet in orbit around an average star in one corner of a galaxy amongst billions of galaxies!

The lake made famous by William Wordsworth, Lake Grasmere in the Lake District National Park is a mile long tranquil lake. I took this picture from a low perspective and attempted to capture the natural beauty of this place. In the distance, Allan Bank, a property managed by the National Trust can be seen. A small island in the middle of the lake was Wordsworth’s favourite destination while he was staying at nearby Dove Cottage. Click on the picture for more viewing options. I recently re-processed a picture of the Taj Mahal that I photographed in 2004. The original photograph was taken as dusk and fog and pollution added to the haziness of the photo. Re-processing the picture has brought out the details, what do you think?

There is something to be said for the merits of going back and looking over old photos and trying to improve them using modern post-processing techniques.

The Jantar-Mantar is a cluster of 18th century astronomical instruments that formed an observatory for observing the celestial skies in Delhi. These were built by the Maharajah of Jaipur Jai Singh II. Today these buildings sit as an ochre and green oasis in the centre of New Delhi.
The photo below is that of the Ram Yantra, a cylindrical building that is used to measure the movement of stars.
