What better to post with christmas around the corner but a photograph of the “Christmas Rose” (Genus: Helleborus). Hellebores flower during the coldest months of the year and are not related to the rose.

What is this variety called? So pretty!
This is Helleborus foetidus (stinking hellebore)..
Is it really stinky? Most of them has no scent or odour.
The flowers have no fragrance, just the leaves are unpleasant when crushed..
